About
Abdul Shaikh leads population health globally at Amazon Web Services, where he owns the strategy for applying cloud, machine learning and generative AI to clinical and public health, from remote patient monitoring to health data interoperability. He has spent more than twenty years helping providers, payors, researchers, governments and nonprofits work backwards from a health goal to the data behind it. He was population health leader at PwC and at Guidehouse, and before that a program officer at the National Institutes of Health and ONC, serving as program director in the National Cancer Institute’s Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch. He trained in public health and health services research at Toronto and Michigan and was a Cancer Prevention Fellow at NIH, and sits on the National Academy of Medicine’s Digital Health Action Collaborative.
