About
Najla Zaidi directs the Hollywood Bureau of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, which works on how Islam and American Muslims are portrayed in entertainment media. She came to it from the newsroom, having worked as a journalist and podcaster for an Asian news platform, and before that as Head of Communications for an international corporation. She is an award winning screenwriter and director, a fellow of the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women, and holds an MFA in screenwriting from UCLA.
