Sara Yassi chairs the UK's official youth delegation to COP30 and writes on climate politics for Friends of Europe and Common Dreams. Her argument out of Belém is that denial has changed shape: not the hoax but the delay, carried by AI-generated disinformation at scale and answerable by legal duties on platforms and by turning machine learning on corporate climate claims. She read Philosophy and Theology at Oxford, was a 2024 Young Concordia leadership fellow and an inaugural Common Purpose MENA Diaspora fellow, and is a fellow of the Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network at the German Marshall Fund.
