Sherrine Eid

Sherrine Eid is Global Head of Real-World Evidence and Epidemiology at SAS, where she leads the working group that turns real-world health data into evidence regulators will accept, applying machine learning and generative AI to that problem. She is also SAS's Data Ethics Ambassador, building the company's frameworks for AI governance and trustworthy AI across healthcare. An infectious disease epidemiologist by training, she led SAS's COVID-19 Epidemiology Response Team through the pandemic, working with the CDC, the Cleveland Clinic and MITRE on disease modelling and contact tracing, and supporting health departments that could not have built any of it on their own budgets. Earlier she worked in global health development for USAID and the CDC on reproductive health and infectious disease, served as District Epidemiologist for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, co-authored outcomes research at Lehigh Valley Health Network, and supported regulatory, safety and post-marketing work at Teva Pharmaceuticals. She holds an MPH in infectious disease epidemiology from George Washington University and is a graduate of Muhlenberg College. Her published work has been cited more than 1,300 times, and she has given over 50 keynote and plenary talks.
