Tamara Zeidan is the inaugural Director of the Office of Innovation at the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking, a role she began in December 2022. The office partners with fintech, insurtech and regtech companies, providing regulatory guidance and working to widen access to technology-driven financial services for underserved and underbanked communities. Before DISB she was Senior Director of Partnerships at a tech for good company, served as a US State Department delegate in Morocco supporting women-led startups in Casablanca, and was Vice President of Development at C5's PeaceTech Accelerator, run with the US Institute of Peace. She has also worked at the Malala Fund, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and UNRWA. She is based in Washington DC and speaks Arabic and English.
