Cyrus McGoldrick spent years in New York civil rights work, as director of the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, with the Coalition for Civil Freedoms on political prisoner campaigns, and with the Islamic Leadership Council of Metropolitan New York. He now lives in Istanbul, where in March 2026 he launched The Young Uncles with the Bosnian-Australian actor and filmmaker Reshad Strik. The podcast reached millions of views within two months.
