Mohamed Karar is Sudanese and first-generation American, and joined Launch Africa Ventures at its founding in 2020. The pan-African fund exists to close the gap between seed and pre-Series A on the continent, and has become one of Africa’s most active investors, backing more than 100 startups across over twenty countries. He works on deal sourcing, ecosystem and investor relationships, and represents the firm internationally.
