What to Build Next?

Entering 2027 the map is drawn. The frontier models are American and Chinese, the compute is leased from a handful of companies, the Gulf is spending $148 billion to rent a seat at the table, and the products two billion Muslims live inside, the phone, the feed, the model, the bank, were built for the wealthiest hundred million and route everyone else through systems designed to extract from them. Nobody is coming to build the other thing. So what do we build, with whose money, for whom.

This is a panel about allocation. Islamic finance is measured in trillions and almost none of it sits in the cap tables of the companies the ummah runs on. LaunchGood alone has moved $688 million from 2.1 million donors and is the largest proof that Muslim capital moves at scale when it has somewhere to go. On stage are the people who decide where it goes: the founders of that platform, a partner at one of Africa's most active seed funds, a seminary director who also runs a capital fund, and an operator from inside a $2 billion legal AI company funded the conventional way.
