Sh. Dr. Yasir Qadhi

Yasir Qadhi is among the most widely followed Islamic scholars in the West, and one of very few to hold both a traditional seminary training and a Western doctorate in the field. Born in Houston, he studied chemical engineering before spending ten years at the Islamic University of Madinah, taking a diploma in Arabic, a BA in hadith studies and an MA in Islamic theology. He completed a PhD in religious studies at Yale with a dissertation on Ibn Taymiyyah. He is Resident Scholar at EPIC in Dallas and Dean of the Islamic Seminary of America.
