Yusuf Abdul-Qadir has spent more than a decade where civil rights work meets technology. He directed the New York Civil Liberties Union’s Central New York chapter and served as its inaugural Senior Strategist for Racial Justice, then moved to product policy at Meta, where he counseled on products including the Climate Science Information Center and the COVID Information Center. He teaches in the Information Studies department at Syracuse University and co-leads its Secure Cloud Architecture Action Cluster, and co-founded the AI Sustainable Development Group.
